About Me

Hi there! I’m Helen (Len for short) — lifelong animal lover, dedicated pet care provider, and the proud owner of Happy Critters Pet Care.

For as long as I can remember, animals have been a huge part of my life. Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working with all kinds of animals — from playful puppies and curious kittens to pocket pets, reptiles, and even exotics! My journey has taken me through pet retail, animal shelter environments, and private veterinary practice, each one shaping the way I care for the pets I meet today.

I started in pet retail, where I learned the essentials of animal nutrition, safe handling, and helping pet parents find the best products for their furry (or scaly!) family members. From there, I moved into the shelter world — a truly eye-opening experience that taught me patience, empathy, and how to comfort animals who may be scared, shy, or in need of extra love.

Eventually, I found my way into veterinary assisting, where I had the chance to work closely with veterinarians and help care for pets during exams, treatments, and recovery. It was there that I deepened my understanding of animal health and behavior, and discovered just how rewarding it is to support both pets and their people through every stage of care.

Now, with Happy Critters Pet Care, I get to combine everything I’ve learned into one passion-filled mission — providing loving, reliable care for every paw, claw, scale, and tail. I know firsthand that every animal has their own personality and comfort level, so I always take the time to build trust and make sure each visit feels safe, fun, and stress-free.

Whether you’re heading out for the day or planning a trip, you can rest easy knowing your pets are in caring, capable hands. I treat every critter like my own — because to me, they’re family.
